New Free Rainbow Baby Doll Crochet Blanket

 

Free Crochet Pattern!

This is my new Rainbow Baby Doll Cochet Blanket.  It measures 15.5 inches point to point.  It is super soft and perfect for a baby doll. 

Finished Size: 15.5 inches point to point.                                                                       

Yarn: Big Twist Value (100% Acrylic): 1 Skein each – White, Sky Blue, Pale Pink, Pale Yellow, Mint, Pale Peach, Soft Purple

Crochet Hook: 5.00 mm Adjust hook size as needed.

Stitch Abbreviations:

Ch – chain                                           small shell (dc, ch2, dc)

St/sts – stitch/es                                  large shell (2dc, ch2, 2dc)

Slst – slip stitch

Dc – double crochet

Sk – skip

Sp - space

Important Notes:  Always crochet over your ends to lessen the work at finishing. Do not chain 3 at beginning of round, it will be very visible.

Example Color Pattern:

A – Soft Purple                                   E – Pale Peach

B – Sky Blue                                       F – Pale Pink

C – Mint                                             G - White

D – Pale Yellow

 

 

Pattern:

Using color A, create a magic ring.

Row 1 : Ch 2, work 12 dc into ring, Join with a sl st in the top st of the ch2 at beginning.

Row 2: Ch 2, dc into same st, 2 dc in each dc around for a total of 24 dc. Join

Row 3: Ch2, *sk the next dc, work a small shell into next dc *, repeat around. Join.

Row 4: Sl st into the next dc, work a large shell into next ch2 sp *, repeat around, Join.

Row 5: Change to color G, sl st into next dc, ch2, *work a small shell into next ch2 sp, dc in next dc, sk 2, dc in the next dc*, repeat around.  Join.   (48 dc, 12 ch2)

Row 6: Change to color B, Sl st into next dc, ch 2, * work a   large shell in ch 2 sp, dc in next dc, skip next 2 dc, dc in next dc. Repeat from * around. Join

Row 7: Change to color C, Sl st into next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc * work a   large shell in ch 2 sp, dc in next 2 dc, skip next 2 dc, dc in next 2 dc, Repeat from * around. Join

Row 8: Change to color D, Sl st into next dc, ch 2, dc in next 2 dc * a   small shell in ch 2 space, dc in next 3 dc, skip next 2 dc, dc in next 3 dc. Repeat from * around. Join

Row 9: Change to color E, Sl st into next dc, ch 2 dc in next 2dc, * a   large shell in ch 2 space, dc in next 3 dc, skip next 2 dc, dc in next 3 dc. Repeat from * around. Join

Row 10: Change to color G, Sl st into next dc, ch 2, dc in next 3 dc * a   small shell in ch 2 space, dc in next 4 dc, skip next 2 dc, dc in next 4 dc. Repeat from * around. Join

Row 11.  Change to color F, Sl st into next dc, ch 2, dc in next 3 dc * a   large shell in ch 2 space, dc in next 4 dc, skip next 2 dc, dc in next 4 dc. Repeat from * around. Join

Row 12: Change to color A, Sl st into next dc, ch 2, dc in next 4 dc * a   large shell in ch 2 space, dc in next 5 dc, skip next 2 dc, dc in next 5 dc. Repeat from * around. Join

Row 13:  Change to color C, Sl st into next dc, ch 2, dc in next 5dc * a   small shell in ch 2 space, dc in next 6 dc, skip next 2 dc, dc in next 6 dc. Repeat from * around. Join

Row 14: Change to color G, Sl st into next dc, ch 2, dc in next   6 dc * a   large shell in ch 2 space, dc in next 7 dc, skip next 2 dc, dc in next 7 dc. Repeat from * around.
